Information for KU inventors

KU OTTIP services include identifying research inventions that may be developed into commercial products and working with inventors to protect inventions through the patenting, copyright, trade secret and trademark processes. The staff works with inventors and commercial partners to transfer inventions to the public through the marketplace; promotes collaborative research agreements with industrial sponsors; and negotiates option, license, confidentiality and material transfer agreements related to the protection and use of KU inventions.

KU OTTIP staff work closely with KU researchers and area economic development organizations to forge and manage productive relationships with industry.
