Web-Palm Application - The application allows for a data collection instrument to be created on the web and downloaded to the Palm (or other handheld running Palm OS). Data can be recorded on the Palm using a conduit application, based on the survey or observational instrument, and then uploaded to a web environment for analysis. The unique feature is the Palm to web interaction; the use of the Palm as the data collection or observational instrument and the interface with a web environment for more advanced data collection and manipulation. The main use is for the collection of specified data when a computer is not available. The Palm interface will allow for recording information by question across subjects (students) or by students across questions. The Palm will store the data and upload it to the web environment whenever a HotSync operation is performed.
