Development of ICAT reagent post-translational modification of proteins
upon oxidation stress (2003 FY 40)
The invention chemically couples a few existing organic molecules
to a novel molecule, which will significantly improve the analysis
of a specific post-translational protein modification (3-nitrotyrosine).
The methodology enables the enrichment of 3-nitrotyrosine-containig
proteins and the performance of differential analysis of subsets of
these proteins from biological samples in a single analytical run.
