Solid-state NMR probe for multiple sample analysis
(2003 FY 12)
This invention is an improvement to the way solid-state NMR samples
are analyzed. This probe will be designed using existing technology,
but combined in a method that is unique. In all current solid-state
NMR technology, the sample is probed for a short time (<100 ms),
followed by a delay to allow the sample to recover (after 75 s). The
unique feature of this design is that a new sample will be exchanged
for the solid sample in a short amount of time (<0.5s) increasing
throughput of the NMR spectrometer by a factor of 10 or more.
